New boy Thommo's pledge
ALLOA goal hero Robert Thomson insists his glory double at Cliftonhill on Saturday is just the beginning as he looks to hit the goal trail for the Wasps in the coming weeks.
The 20-year-old was delighted to get off the mark for his new club after
being frustrated on his debut after being unlucky not to score the winner against East Fife the
Thomson told Advertiser Sport, "It was a good result for us. We badly needed the three points after last week and that keeps us up there because we know its going to be tight at the top this year. It was great to get off the mark for the club early on and as I was disappointed not to score last week and it was just as well I could get on the score sheet today.
"I am looking to kick on from here and hopefully I can do the same every week wwand get on scoresheet on a regular basis."
The young Striker was pleased with a brace and even could have had his hattrick had another strike not been ruled out for offside.
Thomson's second was a spectacular overhead kick which delighted both the fans and his new manager but the striker says he is just as pleased with any type of goal as long as they go in the net.
"I was just pleased to get on the scoresheet to be honest and to get a couple of goals was
great and it doesn't matter to me how they come just that they go in the net. The manager asked me to go on and be a threat,
that's what I did. And luckily it paid off."
