ALLOA Athletic's First team players will be living the high life in the build up to their Scottish Cup clash with Glasgow giants Rangers this weekend thanks to one of the club's main sponsors.

Big hearted George Grieve, Owner of Fairdrive Hire, has paid for the players and staff to stay at the Glasgow Hilton on the eve of the big match at Ibrox on Saturday.

The players will be treated to dinner, bed and breakfast as well as all the luxuries on offer at the lavish five star hotel in the centre of Glasgow on Friday and Mr Grieve feels it is no more than the players deserve.

Mr Grieve said, "We have booked out a whole floor of fourteen rooms for the entire squad and staff. I thought it would be a nice treat for the players to experience that next level up like what Rangers and Celtic do ahead of their own big games. Alloa are great to us with the van hire business they give us and this was my way giving something back to the club. The players all deserve it because they have been brilliant so far this season and hopefully they can put in a big performance on Saturday."

Wasps boss Paul Hartley said, "It's a generous gesture that we all appreciate. George is a top man and a great supporter of the club."

Meanwhile, Alloa chairman Mike Mulraney hopes his team can provide a real boost to the town with a positive showing at Ibrox on Saturday.

Mulraney said, "The club are delighted that we are taking a fantastic support through there with us. We look forward to pitting ourselves against one of the biggest clubs in Europe on Saturday. Its a great day for the club and we will go out and give it our best shot and i hope that we can put all of the fans and the town as a whole on a high by putting in a good performance."
