Alloa Athletic boss Barry Smith is likely to go with the same squad to that beat Cowdenbeath 3-0 at the weekend as they head to New Douglas Park to take on Hamilton Academical in their League Cup 2nd round tie.

Jason Marr remains a doubt after picking up a knock in the 2-1 win at Stirling Albion in the Petrofac Training cup last week while David Weatherston is still out.

Alex Neil's men are no strangers to the Wasps of course with four tough encounters between the two sides last season. It was two games a piece in terms of wins last season and the two clubs have also played out a 0-0 draw in the Oban tournament earlier this summer in pre-season.

Wasps boss Barry Smith says his men will go there to be positive and try to win the cup tie.

Smith told Advertiser sport, "We will give it a go at Hamilton and see where that takes us. They have done well since being promoted and scoring two late goals to win at Partick on Saturday will have them flying. However, we can go there with some confidence after a good win and a clean sheet."
