Alloa boss Barry Smith says he is delighted with his deadline day swoop to land Dundee defender Kyle Benedictus on loan until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old central defender will provide good cover in the Wasps defensive line and the gaffer, who worked closely with the player in his spell as boss at Dens Park, feels it is exactly what his squad needs.
Smith told Advertiser sport, “We have brought Kyle into the club for the rest of the season and we are delighted because it is a great deal for us. The signing adds some competition into the back four and he has played plenty of games at this level which will be vital for us. Kyle has been at Dundee for many years and is someone I have worked with before so I know exactly what he has to offer.”
