With little more than a month to go until Alloa meet Livingston in the Challenge Cup Final, the search is on for talented fans to entertain their fellow supporters.

The cup’s sponsors, Petrofac Training Services, are looking for talented acts to perform at the ‘fan zone’ before the match at St Johnstone’s McDiarmid Park.

Dance groups, choirs, bands, gymnastic teams and solo performers from Clackmannanshire, West Lothian and Perth are all invited to apply.

Petrofac Training Services’ marketing manager Jill Tough said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for a local performer or group to share the Petrofac Training Cup Final limelight and showcase their talent to people in their local area. The Fanzone is all about making the Cup Final as fun as possible for supporters, and we are looking forward to adding some local talent to the experience for everyone to enjoy on the day.” And the SPFL’s chief executive Neil Doncaster added: “We are set for a really special, highly community focused final between Livingston and Alloa, and this opportunity for local talent to perform is absolutely in the spirit of what the SPFL and our title sponsors Petrofac Training Services are putting on for this final.” Those interested in applying are asked to email Lyndsey Clark at lyndsey@progress-sc.com, explaining in no more than 150 words why they should be chosen.
