WASPS gaffer Allan Maitland has been named the Irn-Bru Phenomenal Manager of the Month for February.

A home win against league leaders Ayr United was followed by the teams first way victories of the season against Queens Park and Stranraer.

The victories lifted Alloa out of the relegation zone. Allan Maitland said, 'We've not challenged as well as we could have but it would be great to get us lifted up the table even further before the end of the season."

Meanwhile, striker Andy Ferguson has been sent on loan to Stenhousemuir until the end of the season.
