The sixth annual Cpl Kevin Mulligan Memorial Trophy took place at Alloa Academy last weekend.
Twelve of the Wee County’s best 7-a-side teams battled it out to get their name on the prestigious shield with Paris Street German prevailing on the day. The event was another huge success as it once again exceeded the target of £1500 with a projected total standing at over £1600 for the Erskine Scottish Veterans. It was a great day for all involved on Saturday, with the final going all the way down to a dramatic penalty shooutout. Player of the tournament was Jason Monteith, while the top scorer was Andre Scotland. Organisers would like to thank sponsors the event sponsors, Nimmo electrical and Albion Drilling, as well as Peppe’s bar and all who donated/collected for the raffle in raising upwards of £1600 for Erskine Scottish veterans.
