Premier British Wrestling have heaped praise on the ir Alloa fans for turning out over the weekend at their live event despite a last minute venue switch.
A spokesperson for PBW said, “We were truly humbled that all our fans in Alloa made it to the Sauchie Hall after we had to change the venue with less than 24 hours notice due to a health and safety risk at the Alloa Town Hall.
“We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Clackmananshire Council and the Sauchie Hall staff for their professional approach to the sitaution.” “The council staff worked hand in hand with PBW management even putting on a minibus to ensure that any fans turning up at the Alloa Town Hall had a lift to the nearby Sauchie Hall.
“The Alloa show was a huge success and although the venue might not be the biggest, you would never have known this due to the outstanding atmosphere created on the night by the loyal PBW fans in Alloa.” The event saw local wrestler Falcon trumph over Saqib Ali.
The two main events of the evening saw Switch & Scott Maverick beat Kenny Williams & JD Bravo in a tag team match, before ‘Unstoppable’ Andy Wild beat Zack Sabre Jr of Ring of Honor fame in a thrilling end to the action.
