Primary and secondary pupils travelled to Dollar to take part in this years lawn bowls competition.
The event was hosted by Dollar Bowling Club and supported by Wee County Bowls forum member, Peter Duncan who gave coaching tips and umpired matches throughout the competition.
This annual event is the culmination of the Active Schools extra-curricular lawn bowls programme which links primary and secondary schools to local bowling clubs and help young people get involved in bowls.
Five schools were represented at the event and the primary children played in pairs whilst the secondary event saw singles matches being played. The pupils showed excellent teamwork and enthusiasm throughout their matches and the final medal positions were not decided until the very last end of the very last match.
Secondary Singles: 1st Megan Gray Alva Academy, 2nd Jamie McDonald Alva Academy Primary Doubles: 1st Gemma Lindsay & Kira Molloy Clackmannan Primary, 2nd Logan Inglis & Gordon Duncan Clackmannan Primary, 3rd Sam McGuire & Macauly Paterson Sunnyside Primary.
