Sauchie won this first home game of the season at a canter to gain their first three points in the League Cup on Saturday.
Their opening game against Super League side Camelon on Wednesday evening was a different matter being on the end of a three-goal beating.
Fraser Duncan had been busy during the closed season bringing in a host of new, and some not so new, faces. Ali Burns and Adam Bonar returned to Beechwood Park, with Ryan McKeown also moving from Tullibody Amateurs. Kenny Feakes joined from Stirling Albion and Garry O'Hara from East Stirling. Chris Purdie, James Donaldson and Steven Bell came from Bannockburn Amateurs, and Tom Gardiner joined from Braehead Amateurs.
The home side made the best possible start scoring a cracking opening goal in seven minutes. Darren Cummings laid the ball into the path of Donaldson and he smashed the ball straight through the goalkeeper from 25 yards.
Purdie, Cummings and Alan Comrie all had long range attempts that carried inches over as the visitors' goal came under pressure. Then Bell dashed into the box on to a Purdie through ball and with only the keeper to beat blasted over the bar.
On the stroke of half time a Comrie quick corner was hooked into the area by Brian Morgan with Bell rising to head home inside the six yard box.
The second half started as the first had ended but this time Ross Hendrie managed to get a hand on Bell's header to turn over the bar. The keeper was being kept busy as he had to stop a Cummings attempt.
In 57 minutes Cummings cut inside Martin Stewart and swept the ball into the far corner for a superb third goal.
And it was four when O'Hara, on for Morgan, moved down the right flank and released Cummings who again stepped away from the attentions of Stewart to place the ball home at the near post in 78 minutes.
It was all one way traffic with Blackburn forced to have 10 men behind the ball. Their only chance came with six minutes to go. A free kick by Danny Campbell drifted over the wall with Hardie diving at full stretch to touch away.
Sauchie: Hardie, Morgan, Learmonth, Burns, Feakes, Purdie, Donaldson, Comrie, Bell, Cummings, Gardiner. Substitutes - O'Hara, McKeown, Bonar, Tully, Drew, Duncan, McEwan.
