FOUR of the world's best darts players, including 15-time world champion Phil 'The Power' Taylor, are coming to Alloa for a mouthwatering £40,000 Scottish Grand Masters showdown against local amateurs.
Clackmannan County darts chairman and top promoter Davie Hanson is bringing Taylor, five times world champion Ray 'Barny' Barneveld, Scottish number one Gary Anderson and Australian ace Simon Whitlock to Alloa Town Hall next year.
One player from the Wee County will be guaranteed to pocket £1000 for taking part in the tournament and will have the chance to take on the world's best for the mega bucks jackpot.
Davie said, "This will be a tournament, not an exhibition. There will be a play-off in the Wee County, and others around the country, to find four amateur players who will face the best in the game for a prize pot of £40,000."
Next year's event at town Hall is bound to be a sell-out at a time when the sport is booming.
