Power Chair Scottish cup success
AN ALLOA schoolboy had the honour of competing in the first ever Power Chair Scottish Cup.
Jack Twist took part in the event at the Kelvin Hall Sports Facility in Glasgow on Saturday 24 November after becoming involved in Power Chair Football.
The first ever competition didn't disappoint as the Semi Final between Clyde Alba and Saltire ended 1-1 which meant the finalists had to be decided on a penalty shoot out.
Jack, who is in first year at Alloa Academy, was goalkeeper in this match so pressure was on.
He saved all of the penalty attempts against them whilst team-mate Charlotte scored hers, taking his team Alba through to the finals
The final against Caledonia was equally exciting but Although Alba tried their hardest Caledonia took the cup by winning 3-1.
Jack's mum Julia said, "Reaching the Cup Final and being runners-up is fair pleasing in Jack's first ever competition. He loves playing football every Monday with Clyde FC Powerchair Football Club at St Maurices HS in Cumbernauld."
