Clackmannan County Cricket Club are delighted to be hosting an exhibition T20 match between Cricket Scotland’s Women’s Team and a Clackmannan County Select Team featuring guest player, former Scotland International goalkeeper, Andy Goram this Sunday July 6.

The grounds open at 2pm for what is sure to be an exciting and enjoyable family day out.

Andy Goram said, “I am looking forward to it and I can’t wait to be playing cricket again. I am delighted to be helping to raise funds for Clackmannan County Cricket club and to help raise the profile of the Scotland Women’s Cricket Team – The Wildcats.

“I just hope they don’t live up to their name. It is going to be a fantastic family day out with lots of entertainment.” After the match, Andy Goram will be hosting an informal Q & A session in the clubhouse and everyone is invited along.

Clackmannan County Cricket Club was founded in 1868 and play their home games at The Arns, on the outskirts of Alloa. The club competes in two leagues, those being the East of Scotland Association and Strathmore & Perthshire Cricket Union.

Goram is the only person to have played in both a first class cricket game and a full international football match for Scotland. Andy has represented Scotland at cricket four times. He is best known as “The Goalie” having played for most notably Rangers, Hibs and Scotland. In 2010 he was inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame.
