The 20th Commonwealth Games got under way in spectacular fashion with the opening ceremony at Parkhead Stadium last night - and now Wee County athletes are set to be in the thick of the action.

Performances from the likes of Rod Stewart, Amy MacDonald and Susan Boyle helped launch the two-week spectacular.

From here on, it's over to the local sports stars as they get down to the serious business of the competition for medals.
