This is the hilarious moment a spooked dog ran through town centre with a lottery sign hurtling behind it.

The frightened pooch was caught on CCTV trying to run away from the National Lottery sign despite being tied up to it by its owner.

The bizarre scene was caught on camera at the Best-One convenience store on Stirling's Baker Street.

Owner Saeed Khalily, 52, said: "The dog owner tied their pet to the lottery sign but the dog is a lot stronger than it looks and ran down the street.

"My son was serving the customer at the time when they stopped what they were doing and ran after it.

"A few people in the street stopped the dog from getting further away and helped keep it in place by the time the owner caught up with it.

"I see a lot of customers tie their dogs to prams so it could have been a lot more dangerous than it was."

Footage shows the dog smashing the sign into a metal box before running across the road, narrowly dodging a car.

Its owner can be seen rushing out of the store to chase the pooch down.

But seconds later the dog wipes out a shop sign before it was caught by passers-by.
