EVENING Times readers are being given a look inside Paisley’s new Lidl store.
The supermarket in Renfrew Road Retail Park was opened by councillor Cathy McEwan, depute provost of Renfrewshire, on May 9.
Customers were invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony and were offered the chance to sample some products throughout the day.

The new store forms part of the company’s ongoing expansion and regeneration plans in the UK, which have created up to 40 new jobs for the local community.
The store has a 1,325m² sales area and features facilities such as an in-store bakery, longer-style tills with dual packing and ample parking for both cars and bicycles.
Lidl GB’s regional head of property, Gordon Rafferty, said: “We would like to thank all those who have played a part in bringing this new Lidl store to Paisley.

“It is great for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area, and we can’t wait to start serving our multi-award winning products to the local community.”
Lidl has experienced continued growth in Scotland over the years thanks to budget-conscious consumers.
Lidl’s success shows no signs of slowing, as the latest Kantar Worldpanel results outlined market share high of 5.7% across Great Britain.

The new store in Paisley is Lidl’s 98th in Scotland, and forms part of the company’s growth plans to open more than 50 stores across Great Britain in the next year.
