A CHILDREN'S BMX and a motorbike were stolen from a house in Tullibody last week, according to police.

Both items were said to have been taken between 2.30pm on Tuesday, October 11, and 9.15pm on Thursday, October 13, from the back garden of a house in Abercrombie Place.

The BMX has a blue seat with blue writing on the bike and is suitable for a child aged 10 years old.

The motorbike is a B-Line Supermoto SMX Black Tiger and is said to be valued at around £800.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "This theft was easily preventable and we would encourage people to use a good quality lock and to make sure bikes are secured at all times as bikes left insecure in the garden or in the street present a perfect opportunity for thieves.

"By also signing up to free property register Immobilise and registering your bike details, if the bike is stolen and later recovered it can be easily returned to the rightful owner, as well as potentially catching thieves in possession of stolen property."
