CELEBRATE the magic of Willy Wonka with the macrobert Arts Centre.

To mark the 50th anniversary of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, macrobert are screening the marvellous and musical 1971 film adaptation starring Gene Wilder.

Come follow the luckless Charlie who gets the chance to take a magical tour around the mysterious Willy Wonka’s incredible chocolate factory when he finds a golden ticket in a chocolate bar.

Not only are all tickets priced at £1.95, but at the Thursday 18 7.30pm screening, one lucky audience member will win lots of movie goodies including their very own golden cinema ticket, giving them free cinema tickets for a whole year.

Following the Saturday and Sunday performance, and in association with Roald Dahl day, children can also join local artist Johanna Moor to create your very own golden ticket and personalised 3D sweet.

The workshop is priced at £6 and spaces are limited so please book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory: Saturday 13-Thursday 18 September. Times vary.
