Debuting under the stage name of KLOË, the 18-year-old Clydebank kid - alongside her band of merry men - rallied the room with electro-pop beats and sweet synth sounds. The singing starlet’s first single Grit premiered on the website of New York label Neon Gold and has already received airtime from the likes of Radio 1’s Zane Lowe and XFM’s Jim Gellatly. With a flavour of early CHVRCHES and Ellie Goulding, it’s easy to hear why the teenager’s been tipped for big things. Showcasing some of the tracks that will make it onto her EP release later this year, KLOË whet my appetite and left me wanting more when her set came to a close. With collaborators including Fatherson’s Chris Beltram and Prides’ Lewis Gardiner, it’s no surprise that KLOË’s musical style is right up my street. With a spot already confirmed on this year’s Belladrum bill, keep an eye out for KLOË appearing on other line-ups this forthcoming festival season. Trust me, you’ll want to catch her act now - before she’s playing the Main Stage at T in the P.

Hot read: The Stranger by Harlan Coben; The Stranger appears out of nowhere, perhaps in a bar, or a parking lot, or at the grocery store. His identity is unknown. His motives are unclear. His information is undeniable. Then he whispers a few words in your ear and disappears, leaving you picking up the pieces of your shattered world. Adam Price has a lot to lose; a comfortable marriage to a beautiful woman, two wonderful sons, and all the trappings of the American Dream - a big house, a good job, a seemingly perfect life. Then he runs into the Stranger. When he learns a devastating secret about his wife, Corrine, he confronts her and the mirage of perfection disappears as if it never existed at all. Soon Adam finds himself tangled in something far darker than even Corrine’s deception, and realises that if he doesn’t make exactly the right moves, the conspiracy he’s stumbled into will not only ruin lives - it will end them.

The heroic duo will guest star in the pilot in mystery roles. Ally McBeal’s Calista Flockhart has also signed on as a series regular. She will play Cat Grant, who was originally a Daily Planet columnist and potential love interest for Clark Kent. For the 2015 TV show, Cat is described as “a self-made media magnate and founder of CatCo.” Kara/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) will work at CatCo as her assistant.

Red Sonja: Producers behind the long-in-development feature film reboot of Red Sonja have reportedly hired a new screenwriter. According to THR, Christopher Cosmos has been appointed to script a fresh film based on author Robert E. Howard’s sword and sorcery heroine. Brigitte Nielsen previously brought Red Sonja to life on the big screen in 1985 – her co-star being none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. The character also appeared on the live-action Conan TV series. A few years ago, Sin City director Robert Rodriguez tried to revive the story with then-girlfriend actress Rose McGowan, but their project fell apart.

The Crow: Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire) is reportedly in early talks to take on the lead role within the Corin Hardy-directed remake of The Crow.

Blade Runner: Denis Villeneuve (Prisoners) is in negotiations to direct the Blade Runner sequel for Alcon Entertainment, while Harrison Ford is set to return as Rick Deckard. Alcon co-founders Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson made the announcement last week. The sequel, written by Hampton Fancher (who co-wrote the original) and Michael Green (who is also signed on for Prometheus 2 screenwriting duties), will be based on an idea by Fancher and original Blade Runner director Ridley Scott. The story will reportedly take place several decades after the 1982 original. Shooting is set to begin in summer 2016.

Fantastic Four: Fantastic Four fans have been given a sneak peak of the new movie with stills showcasing Kate Mara (Sue Storm), Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm), Miles Teller (Reed Richards) and Jamie Bell (Ben Grimm). Fantastic Four is due to hit theatres later this year.

All I See Is You: Blake Lively and Jason Clarke will star in Marc Forster’s All I See Is You. Forster and Sean Conway wrote the script for the film, which revolves around a blind woman (Lively) and her husband (Clarke), who upon restoration of her sight, begins to discover previously unseen and disturbing details about themselves, their marriage and their lives. This will be Lively’s first movie since having a daughter with husband Ryan Reynolds. Her other credits include Gossip Girl, The Town and Savages. Her upcoming film, The Age of Adaline, will be released this spring. Clarke starred in Zero Dark Thirty and most recently appeared in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. He’ll next be seen starring as John Connor in this summer’s Terminator: Genisys and in the disaster thriller Everest.

Billy Milligan: Leonardo DiCaprio is getting closer to playing a role he’s eyed for nearly two decades - that of Billy Milligan, who was the first person to successfully use multiple personality disorder as a defence in court. DiCaprio’s Appian Way has come aboard to produce The Crowded Room with New Regency, while Jason Smilovic and Todd Katzberg have been hired to write the adapted script. Smilovic’s credits include Lucky Number Slevin and Todd Phillips’ upcoming Arms and the Dudes. In addition to starring, DiCaprio will also serve as one of the producers. The Crowded Room has been set up at New Regency for years, but has been dormant for a decade. Smilovic’s hire gives renewed life to the adaptation of Daniel Keyes’ non-fiction tome about Milligan, who had 24 personalities. DiCaprio has been interested in playing him stretching back to 1997. Published in 1981, Keyes’ book chronicles Milligan’s story, including his court trial in the late 1970s after being charged with robbery and raping three women on the Ohio State University campus. In the preparation of his defence, Milligan - who died in December 2014 - was diagnosed with multiple personality disorder. Pleading insanity, he and his lawyers contended that two of his alternate personalities committed the crimes without his knowledge. He was the first to use this defence, and the first to be acquitted for this reason. Milligan’s various personalities included Adalana, a lesbian taking responsibility for the rapes; Ragen, a Yugoslavian communist who admitted to the robbery; and Arthur, an uptight Englishman.
