McGowan delighted with local support (video)
ALLOA singer Kevin McGowan has hailed the "tremendous" support he's received from hometown fans since releasing his debut single last month.
The talented artist played a short acoustic set at Alloa Leisure Bowl's fundraising gig to raise money for Recovery Films and McMillan Cancer Support 24 hours before releasing 'Give and Take'.
On the single release, he told the Advertiser, "All in all it has been a great experience, I've always wanted to release a single, and its going well.
"The gig in the Leisure Bowl was great. The people of Alloa have been amazing, they are trully pleased that I am doing well and have been giving me tremendous support.
"The outcome of it all is it's looking like they (record label Crash Records) are going to try and get me on tour with a major artist along with a single release, then the album – which would all be amazing and really get my music out to a wider audience."
He added, "I have gigs coming up in Malta, and will be back at the international pop overthrow in the Cavern in Liverpool next May – but now it's time for a little break to enjoy Christmas with my family."
