THERE are plenty of festive delights in store for younger audiences this December, at the macrobert arts centre in Stirling.

Alongside its main pantomime Aladdin, there are a range of shows on offer to allow children of all ages to join in with the fun.

There will be the world premiere of The Pin Tree, Poggle and Me, a co-production with Glasgow’s renowned Barrowland Ballet, a funny, sensory new dance theatre piece for ages 0-3.

Vince wants to explore the forest but he’s too scared to go on his own, until one day he meets Poggle, a friendly creature who takes him on an adventure exploring the forest and the magical musical tree.

Running from Saturday 6 December until Sunday 21 December, expect live music, clapping rhythms and bubble popping throughout.

Also lined up is the welcome return of the award-winning smash-hit Too Many Penguins?

This co-production with Frozen Charlotte scooped the prestigious Critics Award for Theatre in Scotland for Best Production for Children and Young People and has enjoyed extended sell-out runs at Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh and Unicorn Theatre, London.

How many penguins are too many penguins? Mr Polaro thinks that one is more than enough, thank you very much.

Penguina wants someone to play with. Just one friend... Well, maybe two... Or three... How many penguins can we get in one space?
