Leisure Bowl’s Les Mills a loud and clear winner

That’s why more than 50 Leisure Bowl-goers turned out to mark the launch of the new Les Mills programme earlier this month – giving the new playlist and choreography a thumbs-up.
Group Fitness Instructor Tricia Mackenzie said: “Every quarter, there’s new music and choreography released for all our Les Mills programmes and October 7 saw the launch of our Body Combat, Body Pump, Body Attack and CX Worx series.
“The launch was really well attended and those that took part enjoyed the challenge of the new releases. Some people stayed for one or two classes while others did all four and even took part in our Body Balance taster. The atmosphere was electric!”
Les Mills enthusiast Vicky McMillan said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the latest launch of the new Les Mills releases at The Leisure Bowl. I did Body Pump, Body Attack, Body Combat, CX Worx and Body Balance. There’s definitely something for everyone but I honestly couldn’t select a favourite.
“I did find the new lunge track in Body Pump a challenge but I’d highly recommend giving these classes a try – with the exception of Body Balance which isn’t yet on the Leisure Bowl timetable.
“You just need to keep in mind that there are lower impact options the instructors can advise you of to help ease you in if you are new to these disciplines.”
Beginner Shona Smart added: “The taster sessions were a great way to try some of the group fitness classes. I really enjoyed CX Worx and Body Balance sessions because they’re a complete change from my usual Body Pump classes and Spin sessions. The music for all the Les Mills sessions is fab!”
Tricia was joined by instructors Marion Mcgarrigle, Christine Smith, Rachael Davidson, Nicola Leeks and Barry Harrison, who also gave a free 30-minute Spin class and a sneak preview of his October playlist, in making the Les Mills launch go with a swing.
But Tricia is keen to point out that there are still places available to join the classes for those who missed out on the launch and taster classes.
“The more, the merrier,” she added.
