ARCANE ROOTS drew inspiration from ‘the most incredible years of their lives’ for new single, Over & Over.

Set for release on 9 June, it is the sound of a band finding their musical feet following debut album ‘Blood & Chemistry’.

In the run-up to its release, Arcane Roots will play the Electric Circus in Edinburgh on Saturday, 12 April.

It comes less than a year after supporting slots with the likes of Muse, Biffy Clyro and Coheed and Cambria.

Frontman, Andrew Groves, said, “Over & Over is, musically, our reaction to having had one of the most incredible years of our life, supporting some of our biggest inspirations and building a relationship with our fans world wide. Our music was oriented around our individual parts for so long, but now, our attention is more firmly focused on what effect our parts can create.” ‘Over & Over’ was recorded at Moles Studio in Bath – just before the fire almost destroyed it in early March – and is produced by Dan Austin (Doves, Biffy Clyro, Pixies).

Groves continued, “Our favourite moments are when we are completely in sync with the audience and so we wanted to give you something to sing, dance and rock out to, whether you even know the song or not. Lyrically, this song is about making a commitment and seeing it out through the good and bad, and in a way, that is our commitment to our fans.” The song will act as a stop-gap between albums, as the band head back into the studio this summer to record a new record.

Arcane Roots will be supported by Empress and Boy Jumps Ship when they play Edinburgh.
