Charity Bingo Tea Thursday 24 April A bingo tea will be held in the Masonic Hall, Tullibody at 7.30pm in aid of Parents & Friends Of Clackmannanshire’s Children. Lots of great prizes.

Coffee Morning Saturday 26 April A coffee morning is being held in aid of Crossroads Clackmannan in the Burnside Hall, Dollar. Head along between 10am and noon. There will be stalls selling baking, bric-a-brac and a bottle stall. The organisers look forward to welcoming you. Tickets are £3 and can be purchased on the door.

Clackmannan Rediscovered Saturday 26 April The Clackmannan Development Trust will hold ‘Clackmannan Rediscovered - an historical account’, sponsored by Clackmannanshire Council’s Community Plan Fund, in Clackmannan Town Hall. Presentations will take place from 1-3pm and an exhibition from 3-4.30pm, including tea and coffee. Admission is free and under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Celtic Choirs Again!

Sunday 4 May Opening More Doors presents Celtic Choirs Again! The charity concert will feature the return of the renowned Cwmbach Male Choir from the Welsh Valleys together with Stirling Male Voice Choir and violinist David Christie. Alloa Town Hall, Sunday 4 May, 7pm. The doors and the wine bar will open at 6.15pm. Stirling Orchestra Concert Sunday 11 May Stirling Orchestra’s concert will take place on Sunday 11 May at the Albert Halls, 7.30pm. The night will feature Four Last Songs (Richard Strauss), Adagietto from Symphony No.5 (Mahler) and Symphony No.5 (Tchaikovsky). Plant & Book Sale Saturday Saturday 17 May Tillicoultry Parish Church is hosting a plant and book sale on Saturday 17 May in the church hall, 10am-12pm. Tartan Ball Saturday 14 June A revival of the event first held in Alva in the 1840s to inject some life into the local textile industry. A key feature then was that ladies wore a tartan dress and in 2014, the rule of wearing something tartan applies to everyone. There will be traditional Scottish music and song, courtesy of the Fraser McKinnon Ceilidh Band, dancing, traditional Scottish fayre and much more. It will be held in the Cochrane Hall, West Stirling Street in Alva, from 7.30-11.30pm.
