CELEBRATE the music of the 1980s and 90s at ‘Rock For Strathcarron’.

Help raise money for Strathcarron Hospice and join tribute bands Bad Name (Bon Jovi) and Destroyer (KISS) at The Albert Halls in Stirling for a night of rock nostalgia.

The founder of the fundraising event, Ross Wilson, is keen to raise money for the charity, which provides specialist palliative care and cares for people with incurable illnesses, following his own personal experiences.

He has been moved to give something back, after his dad spent time in the local facility, near Denny.

He said, “My own father spent his final weeks there and so I know from first-hand experience what an incredible job the staff do in making life more bearable and dignified, both for the patients and their families.

“A few years ago I ran my first fundraiser for Strathcarron, a ‘rock night’ in my local pub which raised around £300, and since then have tried to make the events bigger and better, culminating in a 2012 gig at The Albert Halls, which was attended by over 600 people and made a profit of over £4000 for the charity." Rock For Strathcarron takes place on Saturday 19 July. Tickets £13.50, all profits go to Strathcarron Hospice.

Doors open at 7pm, first band on at 7.30pm. For more visit alberthalls.stirling.gov.uk
