Summer Fun Thursday 7 August Pirate Pete will be in Alloa’s High Street from 11.30am until 2.30pm. The event is part of Alloa Town Centre BID’s programme of summer fun. There will also be face painting and balloon modelling.

Alloa is Alive Saturday 9 August Alloa Town Centre BID is hosting ‘Alloa is Alive’ in the High Street, 2-7pm. The roadshow will be hosted by Big AL, there will be a special guest appearance by ‘The One Direction’, a bouncy castle, craft and charity stalls and more. Holiday Club Monday 11 August – Friday 15 August The holiday club organised by Sauchie and Coalsnaughton Parish Church will run in Coalsnaughton Village Hall for five days. It will take place from 2 until 4pm. There will be games, crafts, quizes, singing and snacks. Cost is 50 pence per day.

Family Ceilidh Dance Thursday 14 August ‘The Wee County Ceilidh Band’ is a real opportunity to get your dancing shoes on and hit the floor with family and friends. The ceilidh will be held in Alloa Baptist Church, Ludgate, Alloa, at 7pm. Refreshments will be served and there will be a raffle. To book contact the WISH office on (01259) 217213. Sponsored Walk Saturday 20 September Join Central Scotland Regional Equality Council on its sponsored walk, covering three areas and 10 miles in one day. Help celebrate its 30th anniversary while raising money for Strathcarron Hospice, by signing up for the Clackmannanshire section of the walk. It will start at the Gartmorn Dam, Sauchie, at 2.45pm on Saturday 20 September.
