T in the Park: T in the Park organisers have submitted plans for their prospective move to Strathallan Castle next year. DF Concerts, which runs Scotland’s biggest music festival, has lodged pre-application plan documents with Perth and Kinross Council. The papers state that organisers will apply for permission to allow “engineering and other operations to facilitate the establishment and use of a venue for the purposes of holding a music event”. Other linked activities listed include “a funfair, cinema, sale and consumption of hot and cold food and drink and alcohol, vehicle parking and temporary accommodation, including camping”. The promoters hope to hold the fest from Friday 10 until Sunday 12 July 2015, with early entry available from the Thursday. Under the plans two community exhibitions will be held next month to consult the locals. Following this a full planning application is expected to be submitted to the council by the end of the year.

Twilight: Lionsgate Entertainment and Twilight author Stephenie Meyer have announced plans to select five aspiring female directors to make short films based on the series’ characters. The Storytellers – New Creative Voices of the Twilight Saga will be shown exclusively on Facebook next year. Kill me now.

Orange Is The New Black: Fans of the Netflix series are to prepare for intriguing new characters and plenty of twists and turns in the next season. Piper Kerman – whose real-life prison memoir has been adapted into the hit US show – told an audience at the University of Massachusetts that the third series is already halfway through filming and creator Jenji Kohan plans to explore the theme of faith in a big way. Kerman – who spent 13 month in a federal minimum-security prison just over a decade ago – was banged up for her role in a money laundering and drug trafficking ring alongside her ex-girlfriend. Note to producers; As long as there’s plenty of Alex Vause action, you’ll get no complaint from me.

Gotham: Nicholas D’Agosto has landed the role of Harvey Dent on Fox/C5’s Gotham series. D’Agasto will play a “handsome, warm and engaging” version of Two-Face, maintaining a cheerful disposition even when dealing with the city’s riffraff.

Big: Fox is developing a TV show based on the hit 1988 movie Big. Inspired by the Tom Hanks film in which a young boy’s wish to grow up is granted, the half-hour long comedy series would explore the difference between adults and children.

Baywatch: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is said to be “loosely attached” to star in an upcoming Baywatch movie. The film has reportedly been in consideration by Paramount for some time, but the studio has only just recently started to increase their efforts to get it off the ground. Sean Anders and John Morris of We’re the Millers are set to direct, with Justin Malen hired as the film’s writer. No solid plot details are known at this time, although a past writing attempt centred on a series of shark attacks and a drug bust.

Life after Manolo: Sarah Jessica Parker has landed the lead role in a romcom. All Roads Lead to Rome will revolve around an uptight American named Maggie (Parker) and her former Italian lover who go on a road trip across scenic Italy to pursue her rebellious teenage daughter. Parker has great comedy timing and will deliver her lines with ease. As long as the script’s good, this could be a quiet hit for the former Sex and the City star.

I spy: Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy actor Simon McBurney is in negotiations to join the cast of Mission: Impossible 5. Production has already begun with Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise once again taking the reins. Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames are also set to return – joined by newcomers Alec Baldwin, Sean Harris and Rebecca Ferguson (a Swedish actress, not the former X Factor runner-up).

Bond 24: Rihanna is rumoured to have been approached by Eon Productions to star in and sing the theme song for the next James Bond film. The Grammy Award-winning musician made her silver screen debut in Battleship (2012) and is reportedly a big 007 fan. Although Madonna sung the theme song and starred in 2002’s Die Another Day, Rihanna will most likely be looking to follow in Adele’s Skyfall footsteps with her sights firmly set on an Oscar.

Zombieland: A sequel to Zombieland has risen from the dead as it’s been reported that Sony Pictures has recruited Dave Callaham (Expendables, Godzilla) to write the script under Ruben Fleischer, who will return to direct. Whether any of the original cast (Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin) will reappear is yet to be confirmed. Zombieland, released in 2009, grossed more than $100 million worldwide on a $23m budget. Amazon was poised to produce a TV series following the film’s surprise success, but dropped it after the pilot received unfavourable reviews.

Pillars of Eternity: Obsidian Entertainment and Paradox Interactive have delayed Pillars of Eternity until early 2015. This is the RPG’s second delay as its release was already pushed back from spring 2014. Obsidian CEO Feargus Urquhart stated that the video game is in its home stretch.
