DO you have a background in sport?

Even if you don’t, Wasp Leisure would love to hear from you!

Wasp Community Club is recruiting gymnastics and football coaches at all levels and, while a background in either discipline would be great, the club is willing to consider anyone with the passion and stamina to take its teams forward and help their young members realise their full potential.

It’s looking for gymnastics coaches – ideally with a background in the sport – to help mentor young beginners aged five to 12 years and deliver some basic coaching.

Full training will be given and coaches will be certified by Scottish Gymnastics – the sport’s governing body.

The club’s Alex Brown explained, “The emphasis is on fun for this paid post and the club is committed to finding coaches with the right attitude to coach and encourage children.” It’s also on the look-out for football coaches to dedicate around three hours’ a week to work with kids aged four to 16 on a voluntary basis.

Alex added, “No experience is necessary as fully certified training will be given.

“Candidates don’t need any football experience, especially when working with the younger age groups as the club will provide training in the relevant core skills.

“I can guarantee that it’s fun, exasperating and very rewarding.  “We currently field 18 squads playing in the Forth Valley Football Development Leagues and our new coaches would be required to attend two training nights and a Saturday game.

“Experienced coaches are, of course, also very welcome but the focus is on player development and on simply winning at all costs.” To find out more, call Alex on 01259 720444 for an informal chat, or email alex.brown@mulraney.com
