FIFA 11 is out now and available for the PlayStation3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, PlayStation2, Nintendo DS, PSP, and mobile.
EA Sports' FIFA 11 is their latest incarnation of the FIFA series which dates back to 1993, writes Ross Gordon.
Since then the game has appeared on everything from the Commodore Amiga and Sega Master System through to all the latest cutting edge consoles, PCs and handhelds for the current edition.
The reason this game is so special to its fans is the sheer depth and detail when it comes to the latest players, squads, stadia, strips and badges. You can even customise elements including the ability to upload your own face onto a player through the EA website. Together with the commentary and slick production, it’s easy to become submerged within the game-world.
But what makes this game worth the upgrade are the new features. The match engine, which is the code which controls the on-the-pitch action, has been completely revamped. Everything from the dribbling and passing to the off-the-ball movements and goalkeeping feels remarkable smoother and realistic. Even the post-goal antics have been greatly improved with the user now having the ability to choose exactly which celebrations will take place.
Overall, EA Sports have delivered another goal-busting edition to their FIFA series which no football fan and gamer should be without.
