Nearly 11 years after Sex and the City ended its run, Sarah Jessica Parker is reteaming with HBO for a new comedy.
The network is near a pilot deal for Divorce, which would likely star and be produced by Parker.
Divorce revolves around a middle-aged woman (Parker), who influenced by her two recently single friends, impulsively brings up the idea of divorce with her husband but then can’t decide whether to actually go through with it — until her hubby discovers the affair she’s been having and calls the marriage off.
HBO screens a range of solid comedy shows that do well come awards season - such as Girls, Veep and The Comeback. If Divorce is given the go-ahead, Parker will no doubt have her eye on that Emmy prize.
