SOME things – the weather, the future, a worldwide breakdown in the midst of a pandemic – simply cannot be predicted.

There's not much anyone can do about it, of course, it's just a matter of accepting it and moving on.

Thankfully, there are things a few safe bets out there and a killer sold-out show from The Capollos is one of them.

It is likely that those buying tickets for their date at Broadcast in Glasgow were of the same mind...and they got what they came for.

Starting off strong with What Are These Kisses and Get Out (Out), the Granite City four-piece set the tone for the evening.

They then dutifully powered through an hour-long set littered with impressive performances of Morning Sun, Addiction, Telephone and new single Too High To Sleep.

Afterwards, the emphatic Electrify and set-closer Lay Your Love were left fighting it out for the crown of highlight.

It was an evening filled with raw energy – indeed, support act Oh Romance were another big part of that atmosphere.

For The Capollos it was a statement that they are more than capable of playing up the stages, having sold out the four dates of their Scottish tour.

Next time in Glasgow, they will be eyeing up a trip to Tut's – and, then, beyond.
