TEN albums have been shortlisted as part of The Weekender Awards for 2021.
There was a notable swell in the number of entries for LPs with the Scottish Music Scene continuing to deliver in what has been a massively difficult year.
The winner of this year’s Album of the Year prize will also be invited to perform at either Party at the Palace or Party at the Park in the summer of 2022, subject to availability.
John Richardson, co-organiser of the two festivals, said: “It’s been a hell of a year for the music industry in Scotland, but our artists have continued to show why our scene is so incredible.
“Even with all the pressures and restrictions they have faced, there have been so many amazing releases over the last 12 months, and it has all been such a joy to see.
“We are thrilled to be sponsoring the Album of the Year Award once again and can’t wait to see the winners join us next year.”
