IT IS WITH a certain sense of déjà vu that we hear the phrase "live music is back again" in Scotland.
However, the doors have re-opened - once again - and fans back down the front where they belong.
And bands are wasting no time either with a plethora of shows in the diary, with new artists and new music just waiting to be discovered.
Check out our handy guide to live music in Scotland over the next couple of weeks.

Battle of the Bands - Room2, Glasgow
You cannot beat a Battle of the Bands. This showdown comes with the prize of a main stage slot at the Greenock all-dayer, opening for the likes of Kyle Falconer and Brownbear. Votes will be taken from the crowd on the night and from a poll that runs for two weeks. The event will also be broadcast on the B12 Over and Above YouTube channel.
Tickets: £6 on the door (click for more details).
The Deep Shining Sea (Supporting James tribute band Laid) - Bungalow, Paisley
Might not be a headliner, but worth mentioning that you can catch The Deep Shining Sea in Paisley this weekend. A few tremendous tracks released last year and are always worth checking out.
