THE likes of Ocean Colour Scene or the Human League may well draw the biggest crowds of the weekend at Party at the Palace, but the next huge star could be performing across the three stages… awaiting curious eyes and ears.
West Lothian acts Luke La Volpe and Mark Sharp & The Bicycle Thieves will be on the list of most heading along on August 13-14, as will The Silencers, From the Jam, Del Amitri, Sophie-Ellis Bextor.
But a quick scout around and there is real emerging talent on offer at Linlithgow.
Be Charlotte
The Dundee singer has all the makings of the next big thing.
Perhaps best known for singles Do Not Disturb and Lights Off, she released her second EP last year, as well as a duet with VanIves.
One who is sure to get the crowd going on the Sunday afternoon.
Echo Machine
Another Dundee act to hit the Sunday stage, and one well worth catching.
They have followed up on the 2020 release of their Instant Transmissions album with the single Universal Background Music.
"A loud pop group" sure to keep the tempo.
False Friends
Far too little is said about this five-piece.
With their Northern Irish roots, the band are a welcome addition to the Glasgow music scene.
Their 2019 EP A Great Day for the Parish did not get the recognition it deserved and their follow-up singles since have been on form.
A band not to be missed on the Saturday.
Christie Oliver
Another incredible up-and-coming talent to keep an eye on.
And as a Linlithgow native herself, she is sure to draw a supportive crowd on the day.
Catch her on the Sunday afternoon.
PRIMES
If ever you have a chance to catch Primes, don't miss it.
The Falkirk four-piece have a catalogue of impressive tracks to choose from, with their live shows impressive.
Catch them on the Saturday afternoon.
Robin Ashcroft
A definite 'one for the future' Robin Ashcroft will be a huge act in years to come.
The teenager has performed at festivals all over the UK and is tipped for a reason.
She plays the Sunday afternoon at Party at the Palace.
Cody Feechan
Cody Feechan has already demonstrated her talent - there should be no doubt about it.
Though not quite getting the attention she deserves, the Fife singer is full of surprises with her sound switching from track to track.
A great show is on the cards at Party at the Palace.
