A WOMAN “saw red” and headbutted her fella after catching him in a compromising position.

On Wednesday (26 March) at Alloa Sheriff Court, Angela Harvey (45) pled guilty to assaulting her partner at the time at an address in the town’s Academy Street on 13 July 2013.

Fiscal depute Susannah Hutchison told the court that the complainer had been drinking with a friend earlier that day.

Harvey called to get in contact, but he’d fallen asleep on the sofa.

At around 2pm the accused let herself into the house and saw him sleeping.

Harvey was then said to have shouted at her ex and as he got up she headbutted him on the face, to which he fell back onto the couch.

The accused told police officers she’d “lost her heid” after walking in and catching him in a “compromising position”.

She said, “I just saw red. I didn’t mean to do it.” Defending, George Higgins said Harvey’s former partner had since passed away - which was upsetting for the accused.

Mr Higgins explained that his client reacted after seeing the complainer in a compromising position with someone she considered a friend and following the attack her partner didn’t require medical attention.

Harvey, of Alloa’s Medwyn Place, was fined £250.
