GIRLS from all over the county came together to celebrate the Big Brownie Birthday, with a Star Quest adventure at Lendrick Muir.

The weekend event, one of a number organised to mark 100 years of Brownies throughout 2014, included space-themed activities such as star-o (orienteering), water aliens (pond-dipping) and an interactive story.

To commemorate the occasion, they made stars and wrote what they enjoyed about being a Brownie on the back, before swapping it with someone else to share their thoughts.

Clackmannanshire county commissioner, Patricia Allison, said, “We’ve been very lucky with the weather and none of the Brownies have had any complaints.” The evening’s entertainment saw Jango the magician/entertainer wow the crowd with a classic set and over 70 girls were in tents outside while another 100 were in the activity centre’s guesthouse.
