SOROPTIMIST International of Stirling members celebrated their 55th anniversary with a dinner at the Royal Hotel Bridge of Allan.
The event, on Friday 10 October, was attended by members past, present, hopefully future and visitors from member clubs throughout Scotland and friends.
The welcome and introduction was given by co-president Brenda Kay, the cake cutting was performed by long-standing member Pat Middleton and Leigh Robinson, the newest member of SIOS.
The after-dinner speaker was Dr Bridgett McConnell, chief executive of Glasgow life, and her topic was ‘Challenges, successes and a lifetime legacy of the Glasgow Games. A Milestone not a Destination’.
All present enjoyed a fascinating insight into the preparations and delivery of the Games in Glasgow.
The vote of thanks was then given by co-president Jean Kelly.
