Beatsons Building Supplies have now finished their competition to win a Mini One and drew the lucky winner on Monday (3 November) in their Alloa branch.
Competitors had to purchase something in one of the store’s depots and like and share the company’s page on Facebook for a chance to win for the grand prize.
Councillor Gary Womersley was at the store to draw the winning name from the bucket. The brand new car was won by Alison Leitch from Fallin.
Ross Marshall, managing director of the local branch, explained that the store decided to do the competition after a very successful fundraiser they ran earlier this year.
From April 2013 to March this year the store raised over £43,000 for Cancer Research UK. Ross (27) said: “We were trying to draw more interest to the website by getting as many shares and likes as we could.
“It has been a huge success, it drove the website forward and we have a lucky winner just before Christmas.”
