TILLICOULTRY is embracing the Christmas season.
A busy weekend of activities and events have been planned, across Saturday 6 and Sunday 7, which will help residents get into the festive spirit.
On Saturday, Tillicoultry Primary School will hold a Christmas fayre, 10am until noon, and in the evening a Christmas Concert will be held in the Devonvale Hall, featuring Hillfoots Music For Youth and Academy Singers.
There will be two shows, 5-6pm or 7.30-9.30pm, and tickets are £5/£3 concession which gives entry to both.
The lights will be switched on at 6pm on Sunday – by a lucky boy and girl from the local primary – during a fun, family event at Murray Square, organised by Tillicoultry, Coalsnaughton & Devonside Community Council and supported by Tillicoultry Baptist Church, Tilly Tea Room and Tillycoeur Twinning Association.
You can enjoy the Christmas music, a choir, say hello to Santa and there will also be a tartan juggler, soup, crepes, cakes, biscuits, mulled juice, tea and coffee.
On the same day, there will also be a crafts fayre in the Woolpack Inn from 2-6pm.
