On Wednesday, 27 May, St Modan’s High School sent a team of four budding young scientists to the Salters’ Festival of Chemistry at the University of Glasgow.
St Modan’s was competing in two different activities against tough competition from fourteen other schools from across Scotland.
The pupils worked successfully as a team, using their problem solving and laboratory skills to complete both chemical challenges.
And the St Modan’s youngsters finished in first place in the University Challenge where they were required to work as a team to solve a number of different chemical problems in the laboratory.
