Despite a damp start, the annual Tillicoultry Allotments Open Day successfully raised over £1000 for the association and Strathcarron Hospice.
Nearly 250 visitors, including local MP Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh, were welcomed at the recent event where guests were impressed by the quality of plants and the fantastic surroundings.
The open day raised £1250, with £750 of that going towards the hospice, and a great atmosphere was helped by teas as well as various stalls selling plants, books, old tools and a tombola.
Organisers say all those who contributed to the day should be congratulated for all the hard work preparing the site and their efforts during the day.
