The daughter of a 1930s Alloa Co-operative Drug Department staff member cut the ribbon when the High Street branch officially relaunched under the new brand name, Well.
As the Advertiser reported in February this year, new owners Bestway Group took over the drug store chain after a £200m investment. Last Friday (10 July), staff at the local branch, where the first pharmacy was originally established in 1907, officially re-opened the establishment under the new label.
Elizabeth Ramsay, daughter of Mr Ramsay (pictured), was on-hand when staff at the pharmacy reopened the store celebrating with cupcakes and treats.
Manager at the branch, Carol Smith, told the Advertiser: “Co-op sold the pharmacy chain to Well last year, so this is us rebranding and relaunching the new-look pharmacy.” She added that the services and the great team are all the same as before.
