Police from Northumbria are looking to trace a missing woman, who is believed to be travelling in Scotland.
Officers are concerned for the welfare of Katie Grout, 23 from Goldstone. She left her home at around 7am yesterday (Thursday October 8) and was spotted near Harthill Service Station on the M8.
She is described as white, 5 feet 5 inch tall, very slim build with shoulder length brown hair and a small scar under her chin.
She was wearing black and white checked trousers, a black long sleeved top and grey boots. She was driving her silver Vauxhall Corsa with the registration DY61 HJJ.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 ext 69191 quoting log number 251 of 08/10/15.
