As part of the primary six and seven area topic ‘Japan’, pupils at Craigbank Primary School in Sauchie worked with the council’s Class Cuisine service to make some Japanese dishes.
A tasting table was set up in the dinner hall at lunchtime and pupils served a chicken dish, noodles and sushi to the other pupils in the school.
This was a huge success, and the pupils who helped prepare the dishes loved working in the kitchen to create the wonderful food. Pupils from all stages enjoyed the opportunity to taste a different cuisine. They loved the chicken dish but some were unsure about the sushi.
