AN ARTICULATED lorry has smashed into the side of an Alloa house this evening (Thursday).
The driver, making a delivery to the Lidl shop, was turning onto Coalgate from Greenside Street when he clipped one of the windows of the property.
Officials on the scene believe the lorry was trying to negotiate the tight bend, hampered by roadworks at the junction.
No one is believed to have been hurt as a result of the incident, with the residents thought to have been out of the house at the time.
One of the property's bay window was scraped entirely from the wall with debris lying all over the street.
Traffic was brought to a crawl along Greenside Street following the collision, thought to have occurred at around 5pm.
The lorry has since been moved from the bend while the emergency services remain on the scene to assess the damage.
