A Tullibody man threatened to “drop” his former partner where she stood.

On Thursday at Alloa Sheriff Court, John Moffat admitted shouting and uttering threats of violence towards a woman at an address in Tullibody’s Delphwood Crescent on August 15, 2015.

Moffat, of The Orchard, also admitted breaking his bail conditions on the same date by being outwith his home address between the hours of 7pm and 7am.

Fiscal depute Ann Orr told the court that Moffat, 30, had spent the night at his then partner’s address instead of complying with his curfew.

An argument ensued over a text message sent to the complainer, to which the accused threatened: “I’ll drop you where you stand.”

A neighbour heard the shouting and witnessed Moffat leaving.

The complainer then called the police to report the incident.

Defence agent Kelly Howe stated that the relationship has since come to an end.

Sheriff David Mackie sentenced Moffat to a Community Payback Order with 100 hours of unpaid work to be completed within six months.
