POLICE have thanked Wee County residents following an appeal to trace an elderly lady in Menstrie.
On Saturday afternoon, officers issued an appeal for help after concerns were raised about the woman’s welfare.
It was said she tried to board a bus in the village with an out of date pass.
However, police later found the woman “safe and well” and praised all those who got in touch to help.
A spokesperson said: "Can I thank everyone for their information and assistance, it was very much appreciated."
Anyone with any concerns for the welfare of those in their community, can contact police in Alloa on 101.
