CLACKMANNANSHIRE Police are warning residents to be aware of a number of fake bank notes circulating in Fife, in case they arrive in the Wee County.
Falsified Bank of Ulster £50 notes have been presented at premises in Cupar, St Andrews and Tayport over the last few days.
The police have said they are following a positive line of enquiry but are urging local businesses to be vigilant.
If there is any doubt as to the authenticity of the money, people are advised the safest measure is to refuse the note.
