YOUNGSTERS in Clackmannanshire have been testing out their sporting skills by taking part in a football camp.

Children headed along to Lornshill Academy for the five day event which forms part of the Active Summer programme from Clackmannanshire Council and local organisations.

Running between Monday, August 6 and Thursday, August 9, it is the third such football camp and was organised by the Sports Development team.

Qualified sports coaches deliver the sessions which help develop skills in the likes of dribbling, passing and shooting, along with various aspects of team work.

Throughout the summer holiday period children have been able to take advantage of a packed programme of activities taking place locally.

The fun has included a ski school at Firpark Ski Centre in Tillicoultry, along with trampolining, dancing and cycling at Lornshill.

There are still some events on the agenda, with a rugby camp at Hillfoots Rugby Football Club (August 13-16) and a canoe camp with CR Cats (August 13-15, 16-18) on the River Devon.
