A DOG has died after being attacked by two other dogs in Clackmannan this morning.
Officers were alerted to the incident on South Pilmuir Road at around 8.20am.
An inquiry has since been launched, after it was confirmed the dog had to be put to sleep.
Police Scotland have seized the other two dogs and said there is no ongoing risk to the public.
A spokesperson confirmed: "Police were called to South Pilmuir Road in Clackmannan at around 8.20am on Wednesday, November 14, to reports of two dogs having attacked a third dog and being loose.
"The two dogs have been seized by police and there is no ongoing risk to the public.
"The dog which was attacked had to be put to sleep and inquiries into this incident are ongoing."
